  13. The era of top quality seems to have passed for Sony. I have a Sony video,
  14. brand new, which has this sound drop-out problem when receiving TV. Sony
  15. Australia insisted that I should have an outdoor antenna installed, which
  16. they said is the minimum requirement for reception.

  18. I thought this weird, since the transmitters are only 2 km away from my
  19. home. I said OK if I install this antenna will you refund the cost if the
  20. problem persist? They said no. :-(

  22. Then I decided to take the video to the repairer to try on his outdoor
  23. antenna, which adequately showed the defect of the video.

  25. Sony promised to order some new parts for it, saying it'd be ready in 6-8
  26. Weeks but it's now nine wks and I'm still waiting. :-(
