- I think it's just to be sure that the proteins are balanced, given
- that the total daily protein intake is restricted. Rather than quibbling
- over whether this is strictly necessary, I'd make the following
- recommendations:

- 1.) You and your husband should get a referral thru your
- doctor or hospital to a registered dietitian. This
- is exactly the kind of person who can help you formulate
- meals within the constrainst prescribed by his doctors.

- 2.) There may also be kidney disease support groups in your
- area. These folks have been through this and a lot of
- other stuff which can be helpful to know.
