- Well, I can tell you what helped me. It took some time after
- I lost 160 lbs before my mind actually started thinking of myself
- as a thin person. Buying new clothes, especially those that
- flatter your new physique can help. Engaging in competitive
- athletics can also help (unless you're a klutz, I suppose).
- Being able to hold my own with my peers or even with younger
- men did a great deal for my body image and self esteem. Certainly
- a good exersize program and being very fit will do a lot for
- your self esteem also. If you've been a recluse, you may need
- to get more social experience with the opposite sex (you didn't
- say what your sex was and I'm not sure whether Cory is a man's or
- woman's name).
