- R&S has recently cleared their act (although I'm not anymore sure whether
- they ever lost it or not...) and come out with a wealth of good releases
- such as:
-
- Mundo Muzique (Andromeda), Black Dog (Balil), DJ Hell, Aphex Twin (Ambient
- Works), Golden Girl and the godly Apollo label (Model 500, Biosphere) to
- mention but a few.
-
- Most of this stuff is ambient house / analogue noise beautiful and melodic
- enough to match Orb (IMHO!) and I think all self-respecting ambient fans out
- try at least one of the above releases.
-
- I'm probably lucky to have got my hands on as many releases as I have, but I
- still want more. So, if anyone can recommend a good mail order shop in
- Belgium / the Netherlands / Germany, where I could order at least the R & S
- stuff I would more than appreciate it. I've heard that the magnificent
- "Prophet" by Sequential (originally on Pod Communication) is to be released
- on R & S. All ambient fans watch out, this track is a stormer.
-
- And to you all lazy DJ bums out there: if you know and care about a good label
- that has a good output regarding quality, please post it about here so that
- the people searching for alternatives to T99, Prodigy and Altern 8 know
- where to direct their endless cash reserves :-)
-
- Peace,
- sZm
