- I picked up a couple of records yesterday and thought I could share them with
- the rest of you (no, you silly I won't send you my 12"s!):
-
- Funky Green Dogs from Outer Space:
- Reach For Me
- Liberty City
- Some Lovin'
- Interceptor:
- Together
-
- A 12" EP from Network containing artist originally on Murk Records (a US
- label?) They're kind dub house / deep house / disco stuff so one might not
- find them instantly usable in raves or techno clubs. The track by Interceptor
- is really haunting and passes as a perfect trance track, so I really must
- recommend this 12" on the strength of that one track alone. The catalogue
- number is NWKT 57.

- Funky Green Dogs from Outer Space:
- Reach For Me (dub)
- Reach For Me (7")
- Interceptor:
- Inside (dub)
- Liberty City
- Some Lovin'
-
- This is another 12" EP of recent(?) releases Murk Records - again released by
- Network. It's entitled Miami dub remixes and has substantially different
- versions to the original EP. Oddly enough the best track here is the remix
- of Liberty City's "Some Lovin'", which is very deep dub stuff. Great.
- Catalogue number is NWKT 57R.

- This 16 track CD is a compilation of works by Brian Dougans & Garry Cobain aka
- The Future Sound of London aka Humanoid aka... The stuff here is copyrighted
- between '90-'92, although some of the stuff dates back to '88 ("Stakker
- Humanoid"). Some of the songs were also released on Pulse EPs vol. 1-3 and as
- separate 12"s. Still, I think the stuff here is partly previously unreleased
- and well worth getting. Even though the sounds are a bit outdated here and
- there, there's still enough good hooks and nice blurps and bleeps to go
- around.
- Not for the faint of heart though as this may require some growing into.
- Grab it.
- Catalogue number: CD Tot 7.

- On the subject of FSOL, can somebody list the other projects and releases
- by this group. I know they have at least one other pseudonym called Metropolis
- and they recently released a 12" (or two?). Can anybody comment on that?
-
- Last but not least I have to urge people to check out the new Reese Project
- single "I Believe". I don't mind about the disco / garage / dub versions,
- but the (now hear this!) "Laurent Garnier's Frenchman In Stoke-on-Trent
- Ambient Chill Thrill Baseroom Mix" is a must. Very trancy with mellow acid
- sounds building up the tension to the last minute.

- Chill at will,
