- Hi,
- Could someone not ignore my post and respond. What's the difference
- in humor between the jive filter and movies like "White Men Can't Jump?"
- Or Eddie Murphy suggesting that all white men are "small?" Isn't there
- a difference between Art and LIfe? I'm tired of hearing white males
- get bashed on TV by movies and commercials (you know, dumb white male husband
- messes up and smart wife cleans up mess) and comedians and then
- hearing a minority group say that they're "picked on." Like Ted
- Frank or Mr. Furr said, "what's good for the goose is good for the gander."
-
- Yeah, as long as the goose is a majority and the gander isn't a minority.
-
- Oh yeah, the discalimer. Don't know if it'll make my post
- sound more sincere, but I chose not to pledge a fraternity because
- of their attitude towards blacks in general. Even my close friends
- said things that surprised me and caused me to back off during rush.
- I'm not asking for "gee thanks Branimir for being so worldly and
- sensitive" but I'm just sick of everone tryijng to make this
- world so politically correct that pretty soon everyone will be forced
- to wear muzzles outside to prevent from offending anyone.
-
-
- Anyway, please re-read my first paragraph asking for
- responses about white/black stereotypes in comedy and art.
- I didn't mean for this to be so long.
-
-
- Thanks,
-
- B.
