  19. meiner Standpunktes gegen die Teilchenphysik auf Deutsch beantworten.  Ich
  20. habe nichts gegen Theorie, so lange sie einen sinnvollen Zweck erfuellt.
  21. Ich habe sogar nichts gegen Theorie die keinen sinnvollen Zweck erfuellt,
  22. solange von mir kein Geld dafuer verlangt wird.  Blos weil Wissenschaftler
  23. eine sichere Arbeit dadurch finden ist kein Grund von mir Steuern zu
  24. verlangen.  Ich erwarte nach 50 Jahren Resultate welche leider nie
  25. erschienen sind.  Das Argument, dass viele "spin-off" Technologien durch
  26. die Teilchenphysik entdeckt und entwickelt werden, kaufe ich keinem
  27. ab.  "Spin-off" Technologien koennte man auch direkt unterstuezten,
  28. und nicht der Physik unterstellen.  (Ein aehnliches Argument wird von
  29. dem Amerikanischen Militaer oefters benutzt um die enormen "Verteidigungs-
  30. budgets" zu rechtfaertigen.  Sie wissen ja was seit den 60ger Jahren
  31. mit Amerika's Industriemacht passiert ist.  Eine Rakete, egal wieviel
  32. moderne Technik und Wissenschaft drin steckt, ersetzt nun mal keine
  33. Konsumprodukte.)

  35. Ich schreibe Ihnen persoenlich, weil ich mich leider nicht in komplexe 
  36. Diskussionen verwickeln kann (meine Arbeit muss weiter gehen).  Aber
  37. ich hoffe, dass sie meinen Standpunkt appropo multimilliarden Wissenschafts-
  38. projekten nicht persoenlich naehmen.  Auch ohne den SSC geht die
  39. Teilchenphysik weiter.

  80. nation's budget, which compares well with those other countries spend
  81. and the US spent in the past.
