  29.   I have a 92 Ford Explorer XLT, 4.0L V6, performance (limited
  30.   slip) rear axle, automatic, 4WD.  I get about 16 mpg around
  31.   town and at least 20 mpg highway.  A friend of mine has
  32.   a similar Explorer except that he does not have the performance
  33.   axle.  On a recent trip to Florida he got around 24 mpg.

  35.   Of course, this region of Virginia is pretty flat.  Your actual
  36.   mileage may vary.
