- Lie under your car and check out the two wires that go into your gearbox.
- Screw out the reverse switch (beware of leaking oil) and clean it of
- year worth of grime, dust & soot. Try to get it moving again
- and have your wife standing behind your car to check if the backup lights are
- working properly again.

- If that doesn't work, undo the wiring of you back lights and check for any
- shorts.
