- Just follow the recommendations of the gasket manufacturer. There will
- probably be instructions in or on the box that the gasket comes in.

- As an aside, I have a Felpro gasket guide. Some head gaskets require
- retorquing, some don't. Those that do are usually retorqued after 500
- to 1000 miles.

- Note: When you retorque head bolts, loosen and retorque the bolts ONE AT
- A TIME, in the original torque-up order shown in the service manual (or on
- the information with the head gasket).

- Another Note: A number of Ford engines use "stretch" bolts for bolting
- down the head. These bolts must be replaced every time, and are never
- retorqued.
