- The area is a barren wasteland for social activities. The climate is miserable,
- constant rain, except every 7th year when we have drought and pestilence, such
- as we have this year. Other than the 3lb spiders and 4in mosquitoes, the
- bug life is tolerable. The cost of living is reasonable, $1200/mo to
- rent a studio apartment, rates go up from there. The cost of housing has
- skyrocketed for reasons you should be able to appreciate.

- Aloha has a median crime rate, with approximately 5000 murders per 10000
- residents. Not bad for Oregon. Sorry no symphony, got axed with measure 5.
- Oh, you've not heard of measure 5? Thats the one we passed that was supposed
- to reduce our property taxes...it didn't but we still suspended things like
- funding of the symphony, 24 hour police protection, educational system past
- the 3rd grade and electricity after 7pm. Like music? COOL! We have a regular
- get together to play mouth harps, combs and tubs....course' you understand
- thats 'cause there's no 'lectricity after 7pm, so's them fancy doo-dads
- you have in your .sig will be mighty quiet in the evenings...
-
- If you have any other questions I can help with, you just feel free to
- send them on my way and I'll get right back to you with the real lowdown....
