  16. a desperate attempt to convince one more Californian not to come here.

  18. This is a great place to live.  Trouble is it's growing by leaps and 
  19. bounds, becoming more L.A. like every month.

  21. Contact Chamber of Commerce Portland, OR and Vancouver, Wa.  They'll 
  22. tell you good stuff.

  24. Seems this fellow died and arrived at Heaven's Pearly Gates.  St Peter
  25. looks him up in the book, reads, shakes head, mutters, reads some
  26. more.  Finally says "We can't possibly let you in here.  You'll have
  27. to go down below."  So the fellow goes down below.  While waiting at
  28. the other gate, he sees a group of people come out and head up.
  29. Pretty soon another group ascends.  And another.  When the Devil comes
  30. out to see him, he asks who are the people who are leaving.  The Devil
  31. replies "Oh, those are Oregonians.  They're too wet to burn."
