  12. I have obtained and compiled the CNews from May 92 with limited difficulty.
  13. My question is how do I get NetNews?  Via NNTP?  I have NNTP 1.5.11 and
  14. have been using it as a client side, but would like to have the actual news
  15. files/articles sit on my machine.  Do I build the server side and then get
  16. someone to agree to give me the news?  Once all my software is setup
  17. (whatever that means), how would I locate someone to feed me news (someone
  18. other than the sites that I have been using with my client side NNTP)?

  20. Is there a guide that describes the questions that I have asked?  I have
  21. the _Installing_and_Operating_"C_News"_ Network_News_Software_ but it
  22. doesn't seem to describe how the get the news (other than a description
  23. terse description of the ihave/sendme protocol).  Is it in there and I have
  24. missed it?

  26. Are there entities out there that "filter" news?  That is, prevent the
  27. distribution of certain "undesirable" newsgroups (only a few spring to mind).
