  11.  Can anybody help me about the mathmatica for windows?

  13. Recently my friend tried to install Mathmatica for windows on 
  14. 486/33 machine. He got the following error message.
  15. GROWSTUB caused a general protection fault
  16. in module GDI.exe at 0001:4521
  17.  
  18. Then it is close.
  19. Also I have same problem when I run windows3.1 on my 286 machine
  20. which has ems and ext memory. But it failed on 12 MH turbo mode and
  21. runs only in 6 MHZ slow mode. It says that GDI.DRV errors.
  22. Anybody can explain those errors related to GDI.XXX something like
  23. this?
  24. It will help me to learn about the structure of windows 3.1
