  12. I recently upgraded a DECstation 5000/200 from Ultrix V4.1 to V4.2a. When I 
  13. went to restore my user files from several multi-TK50 sets, the following error
  14. was generated from cpio:

  16. Phase Error - Get help!

  18. This error was independent of the order of the tapes, the vintage of the tapes 
  19. (several were tried), the TK50 tape drive (another was tired), etc.

  21. What does this mean? HOW DO I GET THE DATA BACK?

  23. The tapes were generated with:

  25. find . -print | cpio -ovB > /dev/rmt0a
  26.  
  27. and were reviewed via cpio -itB < /dev/rmt0a
  28.
