- The SCO X11R4 server supplied with ODT 2.0 (which is not unlike the
- X11R4 server shipped with Update G for ODT 1.1) utilizes a dynamic
- loading technique whereby, to support a particular video board or
- class of video boards, we load a file in the directory
- "/usr/lib/X11/dyddx/..." into the memory space of the server then
- execute its contents. These files contain the actual rendering routines
- for a particular class of cards, so all SVGA video card servers use the
- executable code in /usr/lib/X11/dyddx/mw/XDriver.o.
-
- To support new (and old) video cards "all" we need to do is supply an
- XDriver.o file and a grafinfo file. Microfield has such an arrangement
- available for the T8. Give them a call for details on this and other
- X server support at +1 503 626 9393.
