  12. As "Jonathon/tmaehl@vax1.umkc.edu" pointed out under his posting titled
  13. "Corporate Newton users?", current Newton development (applications) is
  14. being kept in-house.  That may be only temporary, especially in light of 
  15. two facts:

  17.     Companies like Motorola claim to be developing communication
  18.     applications (Cell phone stuff?) for the Newton (MacWeek in the
  19.     last 5-6 weeks or so.)

  21.     Apple stated there would be some development system available that
  22.     will be platform independent, specifically a Mac-based one, and a
  23.     Windows version.  (Also in MacWeek, same time frame.)

  26. I have asked Apple for information of said development system, and have
  27. received only a letter stating they received my letter.  Frankly, I believe
  28. it's because they're probably swamped right now, and such requests are 
  29. pretty low on the ol' priority scale.  Nevertheless, if enough people voice
  30. their desires to have such a development system, I feel Apple will say
  31. something about it, perhaps around that magical mid-October day...
