- Hi,
- there are several rumours going around regarding usage of 16 MByte-
- SIMMs in an MAC IIx. People say these big chips can not be used
- to their full amount and some restrictions would apply, which really
- confuses me.
-
- Until now, it was my opinion that a Mac IIx could use any SIMMs up
- to 16 MByte without any restrictions at all, resulting in a total
- max of 128 MByte on the motherboard.
- Of course you have to use PAL-SIMMs for 4 and 16 MByte, but how can
- it be there is another limit ? All documents show that the max of
- 128 MByte can definitely be used, 128 MB and not a Bit less !
-
- Can anyone enlighten me here ?
-
- Klaus
