- I want to buy a cheap 486 notebook and the best deal I have
- found are:
-
- KeyNote 468SLC/25Mhz (Cyrix) from KEYDATA, S. Plainfield (NJ)
- 4 MB Ram
- 120 MB HD
- for $1995
-
- Unbranded 486DX/33Mhz from HIQ, Sunnyvale (CA)
- 16 MB Ram
- 200 MB HD
- for $2700
-
- Any experience/suggestion with this companies and products?
- Does a 486 work fine in a notebook?
- What about heating problems?
- What about battery life?
-
- I have also realize that many power management systems are just
- software drivers (.sys). What about availibility of those drivers
- for future on non DOS operating systems (WindowsNT/Solaris)?
- Any clue?
-
- Thak you all
