- The more recent Mac models (IIcx and newer) use the same physical chip
- layout as the PC's (and the Sun SPARCstation 2's, BTW). However, most
- all PC motherboards require the extra parity chip. This is not a problem
- for us, since the Mac's will quietly ignore the nineth chip, so we just
- buy "PC-type" SIMMs for all our systems.
