  25. The more recent Mac models (IIcx and newer) use the same physical chip
  26. layout as the PC's (and the Sun SPARCstation 2's, BTW).  However, most
  27. all PC motherboards require the extra parity chip.  This is not a problem
  28. for us, since the Mac's will quietly ignore the nineth chip, so we just
  29. buy "PC-type" SIMMs for all our systems.
