-
- Let us not confuse the issue and the questions involved. It is not apparent
- to me that Min hates Windows, Microsoft, and everything they make. It *is*
- apparent to me, however, that Min does not appreciate the insults made towards
- IBM, its products, and its employees from the Microsoft personnel that have
- been posting to these newsgroups.
-
- It seems to me that what we are debating is an issue of style and corporate
- etiquette, rather than Usenet etiquette. There is really nothing that is
- "illegal" about the snide remarks and insults that have come from various
- Microsoft personnel in regards to IBM things.
-
- However, I must hasten to add that these remarks do not give a good impres-
- sion of the company, its employees, or its products. To be very blunt, I
- (as a customer) must ask myself: Why is Microsoft making degrading remarks
- towards a competitor's product? What have they to gain from this? More
- bluntly, if their product is as good as they claim it is, why are they running
- around insulting and degrading their competitors in front of customers?
