  25. In fact, USR's "sysop deals" got them well entrenched in the BBS
  26. community before the HST came out.  Reasoning (with some justification)
  27. that users would follow what sysops were using, they pushed the HST 
  28. heavily. Whether USR actually considers this a primary market, I don't
  29. know.  According to what I'm seeing in various BBS conferences, they
  30. have not been treating sysops with kindness in the last year or so.

  37. This is quite true, although both PPI (Hayes subsidiary) and Hayes modems 
  38. are showing up more and more in the BBS community.  On the other side of
  39. the coin, USR's name is becoming better known in "serious" telecom 
  40. circles, and is mentioned with interest rather than the casual disregard
  41. that was common as little as three or four years ago.
