- Repeat item: Infotel modems may NOT be Zoom modems, even when you can "tell
- so from the ads." Months ago, I pointed out that Infotel modems are often
- advertised based on the preliminary assumption that Infotel will relabel
- one manufacturer's modem; but then Infotel actually contracts with a
- different manufacturer while leaving the original ad wording and photo.
- Thus, don't assume that a given Infotel modem is really by Zoom; you may
- find that it is from GVC or others. We no longer trust these assumptions,
- by us OR BY THEIR SALES REP.
