OSNTFFST - WHEN REMOTERR IS STARTED, FFST ERROR LOG GROWS CONSTANTLY
09/20/96
=======================================================================
When REMOTERR is Started, FFST Error Log Grows Constantly
=======================================================================
Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures
--------------------------------------------------------------
DESCRIPTION
When REMOTERR is started on a workstation, FFST (First Failure Support
Technology) probes are fired continuously, thus continuously updating
the system error log with data from these probes. The only visible
symptom is that the error log has multiple entries, written right after
each other.
RESOLUTION
This problem is caused by modification of the SET LANG= statement in
the CONFIG.SYS file. For U.S. users, the line should read SET LANG=EN_US.
A complete listing of locales can be found in the OS/2 Warp Command
Reference under "Setting the System Locale Name."
To resolve the problem, verify that the SET LANG= statement in
CONFIG.SYS correctly reflects your location.
