  12. DESCRIPTION
  13.  
  14. An IBM ThinkPad connected to Docking Station II with the CD-ROM drive 
  15. attached to an Adaptec 1510, 1520, or 1522 controller is not recognized 
  16. after OS/2 Warp installation.
  17.  
  18. When doing a Selective Install for the CD-ROM, the system configuration 
  19. indicates no CD-ROM support, which was present during initial 
  20. installation. If the CD-ROM is selected as source, the directory 
  21. program returns the message:

  23.    Invalid source directory.

  25. RESOLUTION
  26.  
  27. Note: Make sure you have a backup of any file you intend to change.
  28.  
  29. PCMCIA drivers use IRQ 11, which is the default for the Adaptec SCSI 
  30. adapter in the Docking Station. This IRQ conflict makes the CD-ROM 
  31. unusable.
  32.  
  33. Assign IRQ 9, or any free IRQ, to the SCSI adapter through the Docking 
  34. Station II setup (Control A).
  35.  
  36. The ThinkPad has an IDE hard disk, and the Docking Station has a SCSI 
  37. hard disk. Edit the CONFIG.SYS file and move the SCSI driver statements 
  38. ahead of the IDE driver statement.
