  12. DESCRIPTION
  13.  
  14. When restarting the system after installing OS/2 2.11 MR1 or OS/2 Warp 
  15. 3.0, the following message is received:
  16.  
  17.    TRAP000D CS:EIP=0768:00000011 CSLIM=0000ffff
  18.  
  19. RESOLUTION
  20.  
  21. Note: Make sure you have a backup of any file you intend to change.
  22.  
  23. Currently, non-IBM clones with Advanced Power Management (APM) features 
  24. are not compatible with APM drivers under OS/2. 
  25.  
  26. If this message is received after a full installation, check the CMOS 
  27. and disable any APM options that are set. (System boards are not tested 
  28. for APM.) If the CMOS does not have APM support, edit the CONFIG.SYS 
  29. file and remark-out (REM) the following statements (x is the drive 
  30. where OS/2 is installed):

  32. * OS/2 Warp:
  33.  
  34.      DEVICE=x:\OS2\BOOT\APM.SYS
  35.      DEVICE=x:\OS2\MDOS\VAPM.SYS
  36.  
  37. * OS/2 2.11:
  38.  
  39.      DEVICE=x:\OS2\APM.SYS
  40.      DEVICE=x:\OS2\MDOS\VAPM.SYS
  41.  
  42. Save and exit the CONFIG.SYS file, and then restart the system to 
  43. activate the changes.
