Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures
--------------------------------------------------------------
DESCRIPTION
ColorWorks (by SPG) and TurboTax (by Intuit) applications do not
migrate.
When a user selects Add Programs (under OS/2 System -> System Setup),
and chooses either to "Add New Programs" or to "Search for and Select
Programs to Add", these applications are neither created on the
desktop, nor do they appear in the Select Programs list of applications
to be added to the desktop. The user must manually create objects for
these applications.
RESOLUTION
The Add Programs utility automatically creates the objects for these
applications if you do the following:
1. Open an OS/2 Window.
2. From the command prompt, type CD \OS2\INSTALL, then press Enter.
3. Type TEDIT DATABASE.TXT, then press Enter.
4. Search for the following section in the file:
TurboTax by Intuit MAY96
5. At the end of this section, add a blank line after the following
line:
SESSION_MODE FULLSCREEN
6. Next, search for the following section in the file:
COLORWORKS V2 BY SPG CD VERSION OS2 JUNE96
7. At the end of this section, add a blank line after the following
line:
FOLDER <WP_APPSFOLDER>
8. Close and save the file (press F4).
9. From the command line, execute the following command:
parsedb dbtags.dat database.txt database.dat (then press Enter)
10. Rerun the Add Programs utility; the two applications do appear.
