Tips for using the Lexmark ColorFine driver for Windows in Win-OS/2
For best results, set up Windows printing as follows:
1 Open WIN-OS/2 full screen.
2. Install Lexmark ColorFine driver for Windows as
directed by Setup Guide shipped with your printer.
3. Open WIN-OS/2 Main.
4. Open Control Panel.
5. Open Printers.
6. Select the Lexmark ColorFine driver from the
"Installed Printers" list.
7. Select "Connect...".
8. Select LPT1.OS2 if your printer is attached to LPT1,
LPT2.OS2 if attatched to LPT2, or LPT3.OS2 if
attached to LPT3.
9. Select OK.
10. Select "Set As Default Printer".
11. Select "Close".
After the Windows driver is installed, install and align cartridges
from the OS/2 driver.
Make sure that two cartridges are installed.
Do all subsequent cartridge installation and alignment from the
OS/2 driver. The Windows driver will be updated automatically.
Exiting your Win-OS/2 session
Wait for all print jobs sent to the printer to complete printing
or cancel each job in the ColorFine Spool Manager before exiting
your Windows session. If you attempt to exit Windows and your
system does not respond, close the session from the Task menu.
Performance improvements
If you experience long delays in printing with some Windows
applications, try choosing a lower DPMI value in your Win-OS/2
session settings.
