NOVELL AND IBM ANNOUNCE ENHANCED NETWARE CLIENT SUPPORT FOR OS/2
December 3, 1993
Novell and IBM Corp. today announced the availability of enhanced
NetWare client support for OS/2. When combined with Novell's
current NetWare Client for OS/2 Version 2.01, the enhancement
files provide solid support for OS/2, DOS and Windows applications
for customers using OS/2 clients on a NetWare network.
"Our long-standing partnership with Novell and direct input from
our customers allowed us to help Novell provide a solid OS/2 product
which meets the needs of our mutual customers," said Art Olbert,
director, LAN Systems, IBM Personal Software Products division.
The enhancements are now available from Novell and IBM. From
Novell, customers can obtain the enhancement via NetWire. The file,
named R201FX.EXE, is located in the Novfiles forum under
Client.kit\OS2\fixes. The enhancement also is available in the OS/2
selective fixes area of the IBM OS/2 Bulletin Board. Customers
outside the U.S. and Canada can download the enhancements from
NetWire or contact their local reseller or IBM representative.
Customers can obtain the NetWare Client for OS/2 version 2.01 from
Novell and IBM resellers, by calling 1-800-UPDATE1, and from NetWire
for a $30 corporate license fee.
