  6.  KashEDIT for OS/2 (the following KE/2) is text editor to move with VIO.
  7. It reached it for the thought preparation when it wanted editor of the way of
  8. operating it which is the same as VZ Editor (Mr. by c.mos)
  9. which got used to the hand. Therefore, it doesn't follow CUA though
  10. it is OS/2 application.

  12.  I wanted to make this by around 1994 when I began to use OS/2.
  13. However, it was February, 1997 three years ago that it actually began to make.
  14.  Though it reached after all to the condition of text viewer, sauce became
  15. spaghetti, and it was the place to begin to reconsider design from 1,
  16. and it was stopped at that time.(Even if nothing is written by nothing,
  17. VZ Editor can be used with MVDM,...The application of OS/2,
  18. the native didn't increase.It must be because application until now worked
  19. with WIN-OS/2 and MVDM.)

  22. when the date of the notebook which design was being written in is seen.
  23.  But, it seems that it was completely forgotten, and seems to resign 
  24. it soon thanks to the blank in a half year. ;^P
  25.  This time, it was completely thrown away, and the past passed,
  26. and written again from 1.Because it was, it is introduced to the public here.

  28.  KE/2 is being compiled by IBM C Set++.Because Toolkit uses 2.1 of the C Set++
  29. accessory, use is supposed to be possible with 32bit OS/2 of the version 2.x
  30.  and more. (It is unconfirmed.)
  31. Indication and key input use 16bit VIO. However, because C Set++ is being used,
  32. an inside is thought to be 32bit.Which is earlier in comparison with 32bit ->
  33. 16bit call though there is a parameter of the IOCTL routine very much in 32bit 
  34. VIO?

  36.  A file to 256 is opened at the same time, and KE/2 can be read at the same 
  37.  time to 2. KE/2 reads a file in the memory, and moves with on memory.

  40.  an imagination memory, and malloc() of "Set++" can acquire a memory normally.
  41.   Therefore, it thinks that Editor itself is a little under 512M except for 
  42. a territory to use with KE/2 from 512M that the upper limit of the file size 
  43. that editing is possible is the limitation in specification of OS/2(?).
  44.  There are actual results which read the file of 32MB tentatively.

  47. But, a large quantity of swap occurs, and a practical speed doesn't come out.
  48. Tentatively, when it is made to read the textbook of 22456 lines 1055456 bytes,
  49.  it is hard with Warp Connect of the IBM Japan, Ltd. ThinkPad230Cs 
  50. (FBW i486DX2/50 20MB ytes memory : the following TP230) top which is
  51. a development environment.
  52. It is considered belonging to the still late class though it is compared
  53.  after KE/2 gamma3 before gamma2 and the speed of three times comes out.
  54. It is early over here SHARP PC-3000 of 80C88/10MHz rather than it turns DOS/C
  55.  and Japanese is used with VZ Editor when it does toward an approximate 
  56. goal of TP230, too.The thing that corners around VIO are cut or recent
  57. display driver for the graphic card is very late and it can't be used seems
  58.  that be, too. I can't have it use KE/2 with such an environment with being
  59.  disappointed.(A separate chip is being used in the SVGA mode and the VGA mode
  60.  from the viewpoint of hardware, and a slow thing exists, too.)
