  2. │ We set up this sub-board to demonstrate Bulletron's capabilities as  │
  3. │ a computer matchmaking dating service.  Dial-Your-Match has long     │
  4. │ been a favorite service among BBS callers throughout the world.  The │
  5. │ French government's Minitel service nets billions of dollars         │
  6. │ annually offering this type of service to its subscribers.  We set   │
  7. │ up a "combined" type of matchmaker for this sub-board that lets      │
  8. │ people enter free-form input as well as multiple choice.  The        │
  9. │ multiple choice part is relly necessary because many people draw a   │
  10. │ blank when it comes to writing about themselves.  We made this       │
  11. │ sub-board a SIG (special interest group) so that we can hide it      │
  12. │ from people who call for technical discussion only.  We can even     │
  13. │ designate this sub-board for "board separation" to keep people who   │
  14. │ call for the dating service separate from those happily married      │
  15. │ folks who call just for technical discussions.  With board           │
  16. │ separation, the two groups can not see each other.  Message purge    │
  17. │ has been set for 30 days, as the discussions on this sub-board will  │
  18. │ tend to be frivolous.  The system operator can prevent purging for   │
  19. │ any specific message if he finds something in it that might be worth │
  20. │ reading twice.  The download directories for this sub-board might    │
  21. │ contain pictures of the callers or other people in the form of .GIF  │
  22. │ files.  The access level for the Dial-Your-Match sub-board is set to │
  23. │ 100 so that subscribers will lose access to it if their              │
  24. │ subscriptions run out.                                               │

  26. │ The message that you are reading right now is named "HELPDYM".  You  │
  27. │ can make a help message like this for each sub-board.  Name the      │
  28. │ files "HELPbbb.UTL", where "bbb" is the three character sub-board    │
  29. │ abbreviation.  Then use the BBUTIL program, function "H" to load all │
  30. │ the "*.UTL" files on your disk into messages on your "utilities"     │
  31. │ sub-board.                                                           │
