│ Although your demo system can not utilize Bulletron's wide area │
│ networking functions, we set up this Network Destination sub-board │
│ to show you an example of how it should be configured. The demo │
│ system can not perform wide area networking because there are many │
│ copies of the demo version in the world, all having the same serial │
│ number. Without a unique serial number, it is impossible to build │
│ message routing tables. │
│ │
│ When private mail comes to your system which is addressed to a │
│ non-existant account, as when a subsciber drops off your system, but │
│ people at a remote node have not realized this and are still sending │
│ him mail, Bulletron places it on this sub-board. Incoming public │
│ messages addressed to "ALL", that are not marked for any echo │
│ conference that exists in your system, also are placed here. │
│ Generally, you will want to check the messages on this sub-board │
│ once a week or so, delete the private ones and move the public ones │
│ to an appropriate sub-board that does exist on your system. You may │
│ also discover the need to create a new echo conference on your BBS. │
│ Sometimes the messages will come from conferences that you may not │
│ wish to carry, such as those covering sexually related topics. You │
│ should keep the basic access level for this sub-board high enough │
│ that only company employees or the system operator can read the │
│ messages that come in. │
│ │
│ We set the access level for this sub-board to 100 because we don't │
│ want non-subscribers generating messages that add to the long │
│ distance phone bill. │
│ │
│ The message that you are reading right now is named "HELPDST". You │
│ can make a help message like this for each sub-board. Name the │
│ files "HELPbbb.UTL", where "bbb" is the three character sub-board │
│ abbreviation. Then use the BBUTIL program, function "H" to load all │
│ the "*.UTL" files on your disk into messages on your "utilities" │
│ sub-board. │
