                       *** ENTERING A MESSAGE ***

When you enter the "E" command to enter a message with Bulletron, you are
presented with the following menu:

Here is what these commands can do for you:

   "E ALL"

This command allows you to post a public message, on the sub-board that
you have currently selected.  Your message will be visible to ALL
callers who have access to this sub-board (section).

   "E ALL$"

This command allows you to post a public message, on the sub-board that
you have currently selected.  Your message will be visible to ALL
callers who have access to this sub-board (section), who are paid
subscribers to this system.

   "E ANON"

This command allows you to post an ANONYMOUS public message, on the
sub-board that you have currently selected.  Your message will be
visible to ALL callers who have access to this sub-board (section).  The
system will not display your account code as the originator of the
message, though that information will still be available to the system
operator and his staff.  If other people add comments to your message,
then their account codes will be known only to the system operator also.
Someone may select the "F" option at the end of this message to forward
a private response to its originator (you).  If that happens then you
will receive an ANONYMOUS message in your private mail.  Neither you,
nor the other party to the private message will know who the other is.

   "E xxxx"

This command allows you to send a private, personal message to another
caller, where "xxxx" is receiving user's account code.  This message
will be forwarded automatically to the Personal Mail section of this
BBS.

   "E SYSOP"

This command allows you to send a private, personal message to the
system operator.  This message will be forwarded automatically to the
Personal Mail section of this BBS.

   "E READONLY"

This command allows you to post a public message, on the sub-board that
you have currently selected.  Your message will be visible to ALL
callers who have access to this sub-board (section).  No one will be
allowed to add comments to your message.

   "EY xxxx"

This command allows you to send an ANONYMOUS private, personal message
to another caller, where "xxxx" is receiving user's account code.  This
message will be forwarded automatically to the Personal Mail section of
this BBS.  The person that you send the message to will have no way of
knowing who you are.

   "E POLL"

This command allows you to post a message which will POLL other users and
tally their responses.  You should number the responses for your poll
inside your message.  There can be up to ten responses (1 - 10).

   "E FIDO"

This command allows you to send a message to a FIDO node.  You will be
prompted for the FIDO address and the name of the intended recipient.

   "EX"

This command allows you to post a messsage using the XMODEM file
transfer protocol.  Make sure that the body of the message is 9,000
bytes or less.

   "EC"

This command allows you to post a messsage using the XMODEM-CRC file
transfer protocol.  Make sure that the body of the message is 9,000
bytes or less.

   "E1"

This command allows you to post a messsage using the XMODEM-1K file
transfer protocol.  Make sure that the body of the message is 9,000
bytes or less.

After you select an addressee, Bulletron will prompt you for a summary.
It is always a good idea to type in a summary, so that readers can
distinguish your individual message from all of the others.  The summary
can be up to 32 characters in length.  A search may be performed on
message summary.  Message summaries can be listed like a table of
contents on each section using the "SF" command.

Bulletron will then put you in the "enter" mode and prompt you to begin
typing in your message.  Each line can be up to 72 characters in length.
Each message can contain up to 9,000 characters, equivalent to nearly
three type written pages.

When you have finished, enter "//" as the first two characters at the
BEGINNING of a line.  This tells Bulletron that you are through entering
text and place you in the "edit" mode.  The following command line will
be displayed to you:

   Enter I999,R999,D999,E999,L,Q,S,SR,C OR ?

If you type "?" and [RETURN], Bulletron will display the editor commands:

   I999 - Insert 1 line ahead of line #999
   R999 - Replace line #999
   D999 - Delete line #999
   E999 - Edit line #999 (word replace)
   L - List the message
   Q - Quit (Abandon the text entered)
   S - Send the message
   SR - Send the message with return receipt
   C - Continue (Add additional lines at end)

Here is what these post-enter commands do for you:

   "L"

This command lists your entire message, assigning line numbers to each
line.  These line numbers appear only during this procedure, and will
not appear in the finished message.

   "R999"

This command allows you to go directly to a line, by number and replace only
that line to correct errors.  First list (L) the message, and note the
number of the line you wish to replace, then enter "R999" where "999" is the
line you wish to replace.

   "I999"

This command allows you to insert a new line of text into your message.
First list (L) the message and note the number of the line, before which you
wish the new line to appear.  Then enter "I999" where "999" is the number of
the line before which you wish to insert your new line of text.

   "D999"

This command allows you to delete one line at a time from your message.
First list (L) your message and note the number of the line you wish to
delete.  Then enter "D999" where "999" is the line number you wish to
delete.  Bulletron will display the line and delete it.

   NOTE: Each time you insert or delete a line, the line numbers will
         adjust to accommodate the change.  It is important that you list
         (L) the message each time BEFORE you insert or delete a line, to
         make certain of the correct line number.  When deleting several
         lines start with the last line you wish to delete and work back
         to the first line you wish to delete.

   "C"

This command allows you to continue the message.  The additional text is
appended to the end of the current message.

   "S"

This command SENDS the message to the appropriate account or the
general public.

   "SR"

This command sends the message like "S" above, but when the receiver reads
it, Bulletron generates a message RECEIPT, to you, telling you when it
was read and if it was deleted.

   "Q"

This command allows you to delete the message just entered and returns you
to the main system prompt.
