  2. RE-INDEX Data File will automatically rebuild PHOTOLOG index files.  Each data
  3. file has a corresponding index file which can become corrupted or damaged.  A
  4. damaged index file can make locating a particular record in a data file very
  5. difficult.  When this happens, the index file must be rebuilt so that it is
  6. up to date and intact.  This option does just that.
  7.  
  8. It is a good idea to periodically rebuild the index files that correspond to
  9. each PHOTOLOG data file.  In fact, if you have made a lot of changes, whether
  10. adding, deleting or updating information, you should select option R.  Re-
  11. indexing a file takes just a few moments, and can save you a lot of aggrevation
  12. later.

  14. To use the RE-INDEX Data option:

  16. 1.  Press <R> from the PHOTOLOG MAIN MENU.  If a data file has been selected,
  17.     its index file will be rebuilt automatically.

  19. 2.  When re-indexing is complete, press any key to return to the PHOTOLOG MAIN
  20.     MENU.
