RE-INDEX Data File will automatically rebuild PHOTOLOG index files. Each data
file has a corresponding index file which can become corrupted or damaged. A
damaged index file can make locating a particular record in a data file very
difficult. When this happens, the index file must be rebuilt so that it is
up to date and intact. This option does just that.
It is a good idea to periodically rebuild the index files that correspond to
each PHOTOLOG data file. In fact, if you have made a lot of changes, whether
adding, deleting or updating information, you should select option R. Re-
indexing a file takes just a few moments, and can save you a lot of aggrevation
later.
To use the RE-INDEX Data option:
1. Press <R> from the PHOTOLOG MAIN MENU. If a data file has been selected,
its index file will be rebuilt automatically.
2. When re-indexing is complete, press any key to return to the PHOTOLOG MAIN
MENU.
