PRINT data lets existing photo information to be printed, displayed on the
screen or written to disk as text files. Selected fields and a summary are be
printed. Data may be selected by user entered keywords or phrases or all
records may be selected.
To use the PRINT Data option:
1. Press <P> from the PHOTOLOG MAIN MENU. If a data file has been selected,
and has data in it, the screen will clear and the FIELDS TO PRINT SELECTION
Screen will be displayed. This screen lets you select the fields you want
printed.
A. Place any character next to each field that you want to print, then
press <RETURN> to go to the next field or use a "Quick Key".
PHOTOLOG uses "Quick Keys" to position the cursor at specific fields.
They are:
<CTRL>+<F1> - Go to SUBJECT
<CTRL>+<F2> - Go to DATE TAKEN
<CTRL>+<F3> - Go to REF #
<CTRL>+<F4> - Go to FILE #
<CTRL>+<F5> - Go to FRAME #
<CTRL>+<F6> - Go to NEGATIVE
<CTRL>+<F7> - Go to TRANSPARENCY
<CTRL>+<F8> - Go to PRINT
<CTRL>+<F9> - Go to B & W
<CTRL>+<F10> - Go to COLOR
<SHIFT>+<F1> - Go to FILM
<SHIFT>+<F2> - Go to ASA
<SHIFT>+<F3> - Go to SIZE
<SHIFT>+<F4> - Go to TYPE
<SHIFT>+<F5> - Go to LOCATION
<SHIFT>+<F6> - Go to EQUIPMENT
<SHIFT>+<F7> - Go to COPYRIGHT
<SHIFT>+<F8> - Go to KEYWORDS
<SHIFT>+<F9> - Go to MORE INFO
<SHIFT>+<F10>- Go to ALL FIELDS
B. When you are all done, press the appropriate function key. They are:
<F2> - Refresh current screen entry');
<F3> - Quit and return to PHOTOLOG MAIN MENU
<F4> - Clear all entries
<F8> - Proceed to next screen. Finished with field selection entries.
When <F8> is pressed, the FIELDS TO SEARCH screen will be displayed.
C. This screen lets you enter the information you want PHOTOLOG to search
each record for.
D. In each field, type the information that you want PHOTOLOG to search
for. If you want all records, enter nothing. PHOTOLOG uses the same
"Quick Keys" as listed in Step 1.A. They are:
<CTRL>+<F1> - Go to SUBJECT
<CTRL>+<F2> - Go to DATE TAKEN
<CTRL>+<F3> - Go to REF #
<CTRL>+<F4> - Go to FILE #
<CTRL>+<F5> - Go to FRAME #
<CTRL>+<F6> - Go to NEGATIVE
<CTRL>+<F7> - Go to TRANSPARENCY
<CTRL>+<F8> - Go to PRINT
<CTRL>+<F9> - Go to B & W
<CTRL>+<F10> - Go to COLOR
<SHIFT>+<F1> - Go to FILM
<SHIFT>+<F2> - Go to ASA
<SHIFT>+<F3> - Go to SIZE
<SHIFT>+<F4> - Go to TYPE
<SHIFT>+<F5> - Go to LOCATION
<SHIFT>+<F6> - Go to EQUIPMENT
<SHIFT>+<F7> - Go to COPYRIGHT
<SHIFT>+<F8> - Go to KEYWORDS
<SHIFT>+<F9> - Go to MORE INFO
<SHIFT>+<F10>- Go to MORE INFO
E. When you are all done, press the appropriate function key. They are:
<F2> - Refresh current screen entry
<F3> - Quit and return to the FIELDS TO PRINT SELECTION Screen
<F4> - Clear all entries
<F8> - Proceed to next screen. Finished with all field search entries.
When <F8> is pressed, the screen will clear and the PRINT SORT MENU
will be displayed.
F. Press the key corresponding to the way you want your output sorted.
Your choices for sorting are:
<D> - DATE Taken
<L> - LOCATION
<N> - File NUMBER
<R> - REFERENCE Number
<S> - SUBJECT
<T> - Film TYPE and Size
When <D>, <L>, <N>, <R>< <S>, or <T> is pressed, the screen will clear
and the OUTPUT DESTINATION MENU will be displayed.
6. Press the key corresponding to where you want the output to go.
<D> - Send output to a DISK file as drive:filename.PRT
<P> - Send output to the PRINTER
<S> - Send output to SCREEN
<Q> - Quit and return to the FIELDS TO PRINT SELECTION Screen.
When <D>, <P> or <S> is pressed, the screen will clear and the list of
print options will be displayed.
NOTE: The options you selected will be highlighted.
8. Press <Y> to continue or <N> to cancel the print request and return to the
the FIELDS TO PRINT SELECTION Screen.
9. Once the file has been printed, press any key to return to the FIELDS TO
PRINT SELECTION Screen.
