  1. When connecting to CompuServe, make sure that the pcANYWHERE Hardware
  2. Configuration is set to PARITY=EVEN and terminal type is VT-100 or ANSI.
  3. Connect to CompuServe and type GO PROFILE.  This will place you in the
  4. Sessions Profile Area of CompuServe.  Once there, change your CompuServe
  5. File Transfer Protocol to the same protocol that pcANYWHERE is set to
  6. (pcANYWHERE's transfer protocol can be found under the Host Information
  7. menu).

  9. CompuServe's protocol options are as follows:

  11. ASCII   KERMIT   XMODEM   YMODEM

  13. Confirm that the transfer protocols are set for the same type on both
  14. sides of the connection (Note: Users of pcANYWHERE 4.0x can only
  15. support XMODEM protocol).  At this point, pcANYWHERE file transfers
  16. to and from CompuServe should function properly.

  18. To initiate a transfer, proceed through the CompuServe menus until
  19. CompuServe is ready to send or receive a file.  Once CompuServe is
  20. ready, press pcANYWHERE's HOT KEY and select File Transfer.  Select
  21. the desired protocol and start the transfer.  CompuServe WILL PROMPT
  22. YOU TO START THIS PROCESS.  If the file transfer fails, repeat the above
  23. process to confirm that CompuServe and pcANYWHERE is setup according to
  24. the above information.
