  33.        Ch'ien is traditionally translated as 'The Creative'.  Sometimes known 
  34.   as 'Heaven', this father of the hexagrams, composed entirely of firm lines, 
  35.   is indicative of the flawless origination of the celestial force.  The tri-
  36.   gram of sky is here doubled, forming the image of an endless expanse of 
  37.   heavens dome above.  In astral terms, this figure of strength is the active 
  38.   conjunction of all of the visible planets into a single entity (stellium) in 
  39.   the light half of the universe.  This is the primal state of creation, imply-
  40.   ing the ultimate oneness of being.  As the absolute figure of the summer sol-
  41.   stice and the noontime zenith, Ch'ien is the essence of concentration, acti-
  42.   vity, and unanimity.
