  1. So, you are interested in becoming a Conference Sysop of a Conference on
  2. the SYSTERLink Mail Network.  Being a Conference Sysop takes a lot of work,
  3. but it can be great fun.

  5. The first thing you need to know is that, if you are a good Conference
  6. Sysop, then people will generally respect you and your job will be easier.
  7. If, on the other hand, you don't do so well at it, people will start to
  8. get out of control.

  10. One of the main responibilities of a Conference Sysop is to rejuvinate
  11. the conference when messages begin to die down.  Most of the time, it will
  12. not take very much to get messages moving again.  It might just be saying
  13. whatever (almost) is on your mind.

  15. The other main responibility of a Conference Sysop is to keep the
  16. conference as clean as possible.  Racial, sexist, religious, etnic
  17. comments as well as profanity has NO place in messages of SYSTERLink.  It is
  18. the Conference Sysop's responsibility for making sure these are absent
  19. from messages in his/her conference.
