A couple of weeks ago someone named Sri requested a recipe for Heavenly
something, containing pistachio pudding. Here is one with a different
name, but may be the one you wanted. (It sounds heavenly!)
Refrigerator Pistachio Dessert
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. shelled, finely chopped pistachios
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
9 oz. carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 pkgs. (3 3/4 oz. each) pistachio instant pudding mix
3 c. cold milk
Heat oven to 350 deg. F. In small bowl, mix flour and butter till
crumbly. Stir in pistachios. Pat into greased 13x9" baking dish.
Bake at 350 deg. for 20 min. until light golden brown. Cool. In small
bowl combine cream cheese and powdered sugar till smooth and creamy.
Fold in 1/2 carton whipped topping. Spread over cooled crust. In
medium bowl combine pudding mix and milk, beat thoroughly. Pour
carefully over cheese layer. Frost with remaining whipped topping.
Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
