Subject: DRINK: Party Sangria
In response to the request for Sangria recipes, here is one which has
been a hit everytime we have served it:
PARTY SANGRIA
1 - 750 ml bottle of red wine (I use Burgandy), chilled
1 Orange, sliced
1/2 Lemon, sliced
2 Tablespoons sugar
1/2 Cup (~120 ml) citrus-flavored soda (e.g., 7-Up, Sprite)
In a non-metallic container (a glass pitcher is perfect) gently toss
together 1/2 cup of the wine, the fruit, and the sugar, and refrigerate
for 1/2 hour. Add the remainder of the wine, together with the soda,
and stir.
You may wish to add ice; you may also wish to serve this with the fruit.
