  10.                     2 cups sifted cake flour
  11.                     1 teaspoon baking soda
  12.                     1 teaspoon cinnamon
  13.                   1/4 teaspoon cloves
  14.                   1/2 teaspoon allspice
  15.                   3/4 teaspoon salt
  16.                     1 cup seedless raisins
  17.                     1 stick butter
  18.                     1 cup sugar
  19.                     1 egg
  20.                     1 cup sweetened thick applesauce

  22. Preheat oven to 350 F.  Grease and flour 13x9x2 tin.

  24. Sift dry ingredients.  Add raisins.
  25.  
  26. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add egg.
  27.  
  28. Add dry ingredients alternately with applesauce, beating well after
  29. each addition.

  31. Pour into prepared pan.  Bake for about 45 minutes.
