  11. This patch is intended for Novell GroupWise 4.1a Windows Client
  12. that has already had the GroupWise Client 1 Update Patch applied
  13. to it. This patch cannot be used with any other version of
  14. GroupWise. 
  15.  
  16.  This patch addresses issues running GroupWise 4.1a under Windows
  17. 95. It also includes the fix for the scrolling problem
  18. encountered in the Address Book.

  82. Installation Instructions:
  83.  
  84. The patch consists of the following files:
  85.      
  86.    GWUSC2.TXT (this file)
  87.    GWPAT2.EXE
  88.  
  89.  Copy these files to a workstation or network directory. You will
  90. need at least 15M of free space on the drive for use as workspace
  91. for the patch utilities.  It will be freed when the patch is
  92. complete.
  93.  
  94.  You will need network WRITE and DELETE access rights to the
  95. directory containing the GroupWise Domain to be patched.
  96.  
  97.  You should backup the <domain>\wpoffice\ofwin40 directories to
  98. be updated before applying the patch.  If the patch is
  99. interrupted you will then be able to restore the domain from the
  100. backup and start again.  If you don't backup the domain you may
  101. have to reinstall the original 4.1a version and re-apply patch #1
  102. before attempting to apply patch #2.

  104.  The patch process may take from 15 to 30 minutes depending on
  105. the speed of your machine, the speed of your disk and the speed
  106. of your network.
  107.  
  108.  To apply the patch:
  109.  
  110.  1.  Set your current working directory to the directory
  111. containing the patch files listed above.
  112.  ex. C:\GWUSC2
  113.  
  114.  2.    At the DOS prompt type:  GWPAT2
  115.  
  116.  This file is a self extracting EXE that extracts the following
  117. files:

  120.              SPAN.EXE

  123.              KDEL.EXE

  125.              DOPATCH.BAT

  133.  3. At the DOS prompt, enter the following command: DOPATCH
  134. <primary or secondary domain directory>.
  135.

  138.  4. After applying the patch, distribute the updated software
  139. using the AD.EXE Software Management option (under the Tools
  140. menu), to copy/push the updated software to other domains and/or
  141. post offices.

  143.  5. After copying/pushing the software to a Post Office, start
  144. Windows Program Manager and run SETUPWIN /A.  (Important: The
  145. drive letter this is run from should be the same drive letter
  146. used by users on this Post Office.)
