Transcription: Shuttle astronauts left the cabin three times during the mission. After repairing a satellite, the crew demonstrated crew rescue devices. Five prototype propulsion and retrieval devices were tested. Among them was the Astro rope and a crew propulsive device. The Astro rope, thrown like a bolotype lasso, works by wrapping itself around an element just like an opossum's tail. If the crew misses its target, the rope must be manually retracted and re-thrown, it has an effective range of 20 feet.
