Transcription: The Shuttle Student Involvement Program provided a Utah State University student the opportunity to send his convection experiment into space. The experiment tested the effects of zero gravity on convective heat. The project consisted of a frame holding four pans with hinged lids. Convector heaters were embedded in the bottom and sides of the frame. An astronaut injected a pan with oil, then ran the heaters for several minutes.
