Distribution And Registration Policy
────────────────────────────────────
RAT RACE '93 is distributed under the 'ShareWare' concept. You are
encouraged to distribute this software to others as long as you do not
charge, in any way, for it AND, that the Rat93??.ZIP files
not in way modified.
Since RAT RACE '93, like a variety of other software products, is
distributed via the 'ShareWare' concept, it is not sold anywhere for a
commercial value. Rather, profits rely solely on you, the consumer, to
support my hard work. For the literally hundreds of hours spent in
developing RAT RACE '93, I ask only that sysops who run RAT RACE '93 on
their BBS to send a small contribution of $10. To register, send $10
(Money order or check) to:
Neil Dupree
527 Alexander Street
Schenectady, NY 12308-1223
The program RAT-TERM (enclosed in RATTERM.ZIP) which is required for
remote users to play RAT RACE '93 is FREEWARE. You may distribute this
file in an unmodified form to anyone you wish. Users of RAT-TERM are NOT
required to send money. Although I would not mind it in the least.

with a number that I can call you at COLLECT. Unfortunately, I cannot
afford to call Long Distance all over the country, although I am happy to
help in way possible.
System Requirements
===================
Approximately 70k of free HD space
An IBM EGA or Hercules compatible graphics display
A modem (obviously)
A communications program
Installation
============
Rat-term is installed and used like a "download protocol" for your
communications program. Check your communication program's documentation
for how to do this.
Unzip either the VGA or EGA/Hercules version of Rat-term into a directory
under you communications program and create a batch file in your communications
directory that looks similar to this
cd Rat-term
Rat-term 2 9600 8 N 1
cd ..
the 2 specifies com2: , 9600 is the baud rate, and "8 N 1" (note N in
caps) is standard.
NOTE!!!: The baud rate you specify should be the baud rate your computer
uses to communicate with your modem, NOT THE RATE AT YOU CONNECT TO THE
BBS. These to speeds are usually different for higher speed modems.
