  2. Features on GEMAR:

  4.     -easy to use, powerful GEM-menu
  5.  
  6.     -Backups can be made file by file with the use of GEMDOS, therefore no
  7.      problems with extended hard disk partitions
  8.  
  9.     -fast processing due to smart data buffering

  11.     -Extensive marking functions, hence simple file selection for Backup/Restore

  13.     -Archives are TAR-compatible; tapes written by GEMAR can be read by
  14.      TAR (e.g. on Unix┐-systems).
  15.      In addition, a separate, special index will be stored on the tape.

  17.     -Mostly adjustable for any used streamer.

  19.     -Index behind the data. Hence, a backup which contains errors, or which
  20.      had been interrupted, respectivley, is completely applicable.
