  46.        The year started with the continuation of the extensive Gospel Tour.
  47.   This tour is covered in the 1979 chronicle. The songs written for the tour
  48.   was recorded in February and released after the end of the tour on the SAVED 
  49.   album. After having refused to play anything else but his new gospel songs
  50.   Dylan played a string of 19 dates on the US West Coast in November-December.
  51.   This time he played assorted old songs and also a couple of never before
  52.   covers. This mini-tour was aptly called 'A Musical Retrospective Tour'.

  58.            in Seattle, Washington.

  62.   February 12-17   The SAVED recording sessions in Muscle Shoals Studios.

  64.   Februray 22      Dylan receives the Grammy for 'Best Vocal Performance 1979'
  65.            at the 22nd Grammy Award at the Shrine Auditorium in
  66.            Los Angeles. In his acceptance speech he thanks "The Lord,
  67.            Jerry Wexler and Barry Beckett who believed".

  69.   April 17-20      The Gospel Tour is resumed once more with four shows in the 
  70.            Massey Hall in Toronto.

  72.   May 15           Dylan is interviewed by Pat Crosby. The interview is

  75.   May 21           The 71st and last of the Gospel Tours is played at the
