A Resource About Women's Health Issues Discussed in "For Women of All Ages"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A new booklet published by the American Physical Therapy Association
(APTA) is sure to become a favorite for many of my women readers. Its 17
pages contain many subjects of interest, divided by the stages in a woman's
life. Beginning with adolescence, and menstrual pain, it proceeds through the
childbearing years, natural childbirth, cesarean sections, pre and postnatal
care, to the problems of the older years such as menopause, incontinence and
osteoporosis. Each section contains useful information on physical therapy
related health care for women, and though not intended as a substitute for a
personal visit to a health care provider, offers the answers to many questions
that may be puzzling you. The booklet is called "For Women of All Ages" and
you may obtain it by sending your request, along with a stamped self addressed
business sized envelope to Women's Health, APTA, P.O. Box 37257, Washington,
DC 20013. The APTA is a national professional organization that represents
physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and students throughout the
United States.
