A Resource About Urinary Tract Infections
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
More than 10 million visits to doctors' offices are made each year
because of the symptoms and problems that come with a urinary tract infection
(UTI). When the urge to urinate seems more urgent, or difficult to control,
when urination is accompanied by a burning sensation or discomfort, the
problem may be an infection somewhere along the urinary tract from the
kidneys, ureter, bladder, to the urethra which carries the urine out of the
body. In some cases the appearance of the urine, or a new and unpleasant odor
is the first clue that something has gone wrong and that a visit to the
physician is in order. The Bladder Health Council of the American Foundation
for Urologic Disease has produced a new, informative and well illustrated
brochure that contains many of the answers needed by individuals affected by a
UTI. It is appropriately called "Answers to Your Questions About Urinary
Tract Infections". You may obtain your copy by simply requesting it. Write
to: Urinary Tract Infection, Publication Fulfillment, American Foundation for
Urologic Disease, 300 West Pratt Street, Suite 401, Baltimore, MD 21201. No
envelope is required with your request for this offering.
