- A Resource About The Eye and Your Vision

-
- Although many people with impaired vision are classified as legally
- blind, there is a world of difference between those who are truly blind (total
- lack of vision) and those with some usable vision who are often mistaken for
- someone who is totally without sight because of mere terminology. Individuals
- who have low vision can be helped in many ways so that they may still take
- advantage of their visual ability. There is a fine group dedicated to helping
- those folks, and they have made a truly excellent publication available for
- all who wish to understand just how the complex mechanisms of eyesight work.
- The booklet, printed in large type entitled "The Eye and Your Vision" is
- obtainable upon request from the National Association for Visually Handicapped
- (NAVH), Department AB, 22 West 21st Street, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10010. No
- envelope required as this booklet is too big to fit, and is packed with
- information for visually handicapped individuals, their families and friends.
